At week 37..

I just received my order yesterday via poslaju. The FabulousMom.com must be very efficient in managing their orders, and I was quite satisfied with their service as well as the quality of the products. I ordered 2 pieces of Sarah Nursing Maternity Sleep Bra and 1 My Lovely Closet – Extra Long Princess Seam (Purple). Both cost me about RM130++.

My comment: Bought M size. They’re made of really light cotton, seemed quite fragile when touched, but I think they will be strong enough for night use. Not recommended for those with heavy bust (ideal for me and those with size B and smaller). The openings in front are wide and flexible enough to be opened when nursing at night.

My comment: Bought L size. The material is heavy and very thick, suitable for the few first days after deliver. There are 2 openings at the front, wide enough for me, but maybe not for some with bigger cup. I like the pockets below the openings, very unique. I recommend this nursing tee for muslimahs, as it is longer than ordinary t-shirt but as practical as ordinary nursing top.

Seems that I am getting so much prepared for exclusively breastfeed my child. Hope he won’t get the ‘nipple confusion’ just like his sister last time. My last words for today is, I recommend this site http://www.fabulousmom.com for all the mom or mom-to-be out there.

Pregnancy week 36..

Still got less than a month to go. My belly is not that big this time compared to my first pregnancy. Less stretch marks, less vaginal infection, less discoloration of my skin, able to maintain my not-that-perfect complexion. I also do not gain so much weight than I used to, and experienced less Braxton-Hicks pain. I’m expecting a boy (well, he couldn’t hide it, the gynae had snapped a photo of his birdy). Up to this time, my hands and feet are still at the normal size (no signs of edema), but maybe my cheeks seem a little chubbier. But, all in all, my level of hemoglobin is still quite low (only 9.7) that my gynae advised me to double-up the dose of Iberet Folic. (Sigh) I hate the smell of the tablet (I prefer the Obimin, they’re sweeter, but didn’t work for me).

Well, I really hope to be given the strength to fully breastfeed my newborn, as I pitied my daughter for not having enough breast milk when she was still an infant. I’m still looking for guidance and tips for nursing, from Google to Cari, and bought a few nursing wears from online boutique. I’m quite ready for the D-day, and here are the items that I have already arranged in my bag.

Mom: Maternity card, 1 piece of sarong, 1 nursing top, 1 nursing bra, 3 underwear, 1 pack of maternity pads, 1 pair of socks, toiletries (to share with my baby .. or vice-versa)

Baby: 1 towel, 1 blanket, 1 long-sleeved shirts, 1 short-sleeved shirt, 2 long pants, 1 pair of mittens and booties, 4 napkins, 2 nappy liners, 1 bottle of yu yee oil

Not yet in the list: baby’s hat, towel for me

Got to check: breast pump, mattress, baby cot, bath tub, breast pad (washable and disposable)

Ready to receive in a few days: 2 nursing bras and 1 nursing top from FabulousMom

Got to buy: pillow case, small milk bottle, small containers (to keep expressed breast milk), masking tape (to label my ebm containers), thermos

Lastly, got to do: wash curtain in my room, clean the ceiling fan, mop the floor, remove the books (there are tons of books in my room), clean the toilet (exercise to gain flexibility of thighs in preparing for the labor)
